Ogone Payment Services Acquires EBS

Ogone Payment Services has acquired Mumbai based – payment services provider E-Billing Solutions Private Limited(EBS).

As per the deal structure, EBS will continue to operate under it’s current management and will also retain it’s name and brand in the        Indian market.

Ogone was advised by Brian, Garner & Co, while EBS was advised by IndigoEdge.

EB was founded in 2005 by Nishanth Chandran. It has over 3000 merchants and 400 resellers. It has offices in Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram.

 

It claims to have more than 56+ payment options. It services clients like Flipkart, Snapdeal, Myntra, Ferns & Petals, Puma, eBuy, Limata, Printo, among others.

Ogone claims to have than 30,000 customers in 45 countries, with offices in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the United Kingdom.

PayPal is the most widely used payment gateway in India, however others operating include CCAvenue, EBS, DirecPay, HDFC, Transecute, ABCpayments and ICICI Payseal.
